Tuned Percussion

My tuned percussion resources come in Two Separate Packs.

Tuned Percussion: Pack One is a collection of 12 pieces written for the marimba/humarimba (the latter is an instrument that was designed by Linsey Pollak). These easy to learn pieces vary in form but often comprise a series of short melodic ostiantos that combine to form a single piece.

The marimba/humarimba pieces have actually been written specifically for the Humarimba which is a 2 octave instrument pitched from F to F but without any Bb’s. The repertoire of these pieces therefore can be applied to a marimbas if required. (See samples to determine if the repertoire is appropriate for your instrumentation). Every piece comes with a PowerPoint that includes an audio file of the piece in addition to a full colour score that can be printed for students to use (I personally use A3 sized scores for my students which have been laminated – nice and easy to see on a music stand).

Tuned Percussion: Pack Two is a collection of pieces that can be used for any single octave C diatonic xylophone/glockenspiel/chime bar type instrument. These pieces are generally simple in structure thereby allowing all players to experience success. Pieces vary in difficulty and are aimed at students in years 1 to 5 (I do not specify the year level a song/piece of repertoire is intended for as this is best decided by each individual teacher for their students). There are more than 40 songs in the pack and all pieces and scores have also been colour-coded to match Boomwhacker associated resources.

Cost

Both Tuned Percussion Packs are $95 each which includes free updates if and when resources are ‘tweaked’ or added to.

How to order

Click on the Contact tab (top right) and you will be taken to the contact form. Just send your order request (or questions) via the form and I will provide you with an invoice which contains all my details, ABN etc. As I am not registered for GST, there will be no GST attached to your purchase.

Please note that, due to ‘conflict of interest’ concerns, I am not able to invoice QLD State Schools. Consequently, if you are an employee of Education Qld, you would need to purchase the resource in your own name and then claim the cost as a deduction on your personal tax return.

Receiving your resources

After receiving your payment, you will receive your purchased resources by one of the following means:

• email (providing that files are relatively few in number or of small size)
• via a Dropbox link I will provide you with (I can provide instructions on using Dropbox if you are not familiar with it)
• via a posted USB drive (this is the best option for resources such as Ukulele Works or the Classroom Music Resources Package which contain dozens of large files). Please note this USB option incurs an additional $10 which includes the cost of the USB drive and postage.
